Chelsea dropped points this weekend in the Premier League after Everton beat the Blues 2-0 at Goodison Park.
Goals from Richarlison and Sigurosson ensured the Toffees had a wonderful second half while Maurizio Sarri and his men were left confused.
The Blues started the game on the front foot and during the first-half, Maurizio Sarri should have been pretty content with how his players had performed.
But as they come on to the pitch for the second 45 minutes, no one really knows what had happened to those very same players who had just put in a superb shift on the other side of half time.
The players failed to close down their opponents as a result of which Everton took complete control of the midfield.
And while everyone expected Maurizio Sarri to give a proper explanation after the match, but it looked like the Italian was the most confused amongst us all.
‘I don’t know. The player don’t know what happened.’ Maurizio Sarri told Sky Sports(via Metro)
‘At the moment I don’t really explain the change. We played, in my opinion, the best first half of the season. We could have scored four or five times. Suddenly we stopped to play. It’s very strange,
‘We stopped to defend, to counter-attack, to everything. We had only to continue, I think. We were in control of the match. We played very well and needed to continue.
‘At the beginning of the second half, we didn’t play. It’s strange. I cannot understand.’
Reports suggest that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich has seen enough and that Maurizio Sarri will be shown the door during the international break.
Now we have to wait and see who is going to take charge of the Stamford Bridge outfit once Maurizio Sarri heads for the exit doors.
