SPFL Celtic FC Scottish Premiership
Celtic Park

Brendan Rodgers left Celtic FC a couple of weeks ago to join Premier League side Leicester City.

And since then Rodgers has been the subject of constant abuses of from the Bhoys fans and things had reached to such an extent that the club had to intervene and request their fans to stop.

Yes, a handful of fans went overboard with their anger but we can see why they are so upset.

I mean, which manager would give the opportunity to win multiple trophies in order to take charge of a club which are fighting for absolutely nothing.

But then, that’s the aura of the Premier League we guess.

Now though, Celtic have come out with a statement which will make its shareholders very happy.

The Bhoys have received a hefty compensation from the Foxes because in order to lure Brendan Rodgers out of Celtic Park his contract had to be dissolved.

And on top of that, the club no longer have to pay the big salary to Rodgers.

Both these points mean that the Celtic shareholders are set to receive a big dividend.

So it looks like Brendan Rodgers moving out of Glasgow has eventually done more good than bad for the league leaders.
