Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi has fallen down the pecking order at the club this season and he is expected to leave the club this month.

Tammy Abraham has been the main frontman for Lampard this season and Batshuayi has been limited to only substitute appearances for the Blues.

And as per reports, Premier League clubs, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace are both in the hunt to sign the forward this month.

Both Villa and Palace are badly in need of reinforcements in order to keep playing in the top tier next season as well and up until has week, it seemed like Michy Batshuayi might be on his way out.

Now though it looks like the Belgium international might not be moving out of Stamford Bridge this season due to two major factors.

The first reason is because the club have chosen to place a £45 million price tag on the player which is something that both Villa and Palace will not be too happy with.

While the two interested clubs are serious looking to sign attacking players but they certainly will not be willing to spend this much money during the middle of the season.

The second and perhaps the most important reason is that Michy Batshuayi is keen on staying at Chelsea in order to prove himself.

The forward knows fully well that he will be getting limited chances in case he choose to stay back until the end of the season but it seems like he is more than ready to face the challenge instead of heading out of the club.

So far during the 2019-20 season, Michy Batshuayi has featured in 20 games for the London outfit and has managed to find the net 7 times which is more than a decent number given that he’s been playing second fiddle.
