Arsenal had made a great start to the 2018-19 season but during the past couple of months, things have been going downhill for the London club.

With each passing game, the Gunners are losing ground in the race to finish in the top four and at the same time one player after the other is ending up with injuries.

The Arsenal manager has been hit with a number of serious injuries which has seriously impacted his gameplan and the latest blow they had suffered a 3-1 loss to Man City this weekend.

The Gunners looked a pretty average side against the defending champions and it looked like most of the Gunners players were clueless as to what they should do.

Everyone except Matteo Guendouzi.

Matteo Guendouzi had a superb outing vs Manchester City and his performance against Guardiola’s men seems to have caught the eye of many pundits.

And now speaking about his teammate, Henrikh Mkhitaryan has claimed that Guendouzi has all the makings of a world class player.

Mkhitaryan said: ‘It’s always tough to move to a new country at a young age because you must understand the culture, the language and as well, it is a new environment to get used to your teammates, to the club, to the people’s mentality.

‘So I think we are trying to help him to settle as quick (sic) as he can.

‘He’s studying the English language, he’s learning it. It’s not the best at the moment, but he understands most things.’

Matteo Guendouzi joined Arsenal from FC Lorient this summer and the youngster has turned out to be a superb buy for the club.

During the first couple of weeks, Guendouzi had limited opportunities in the first XI but with each passing game, his importance has increased and so far the 19-year-old has played 22 games in the Premier League for the Gunners.
