Liverpool were held to a 1-1 draw by Man United in the Premier League this weekend and Mo Salah was a major absentee for the match.

The Egyptian picked up an ankle injury before the international break and was not able to make himself fully fit for the Man United vs Liverpool clash.

And whether Klopp accepts it or not but his side did look a bit lacklustre without the forward in the starting line-up.

Without Mo Salah, the manager had to use Divock Origi in the first XI and in order to accommodate him, Sadio Mane had to be shifted to the right flank. And all this reshuffling clearly affected the Liverpool forwards and their fluidity.

But speaking after the match, Jurgen Klopp hinted that the winger could be fit to play when the Reds travel to Belgium to take on Genk in the Champions League.

“Mo was not ready, that’s how it is,” the manager told Sky Sports(as reported by the club’s official website).

“He couldn’t train with the team; I don’t know where it came from that everybody said he will play.

“There was pretty much no chance for today, maybe for Wednesday, we have to see.”

Liverpool are expected to pick up a win vs Genk on Wednesday so the return of Mo Salah should not be very big news for the Reds fans.

But with the Egyptian coming back, players like Mane and Origi could be rested in midweek and there is a big chance that the pair do not even travel to Belgium.

Liverpool have picked up just three points from their first two matches in the Champions League while Genk have managed to gather one point and are currently sitting at the bottom of Group E.
