Neil Lennon has been named as the manager for Celtic FC until the end of the season after Brendan Rodger chose to join Leicester City.
Last week it was announced that Rodgers had parted ways with the Bhoys and will now be joining the Foxes as their new boss.
This meant that Celtic were without a manager and the management chose to bring in former player Neil Lennon.
Neil Lennon played for Celtic for six odd years at the turn of the century and now he has been handed the job of steadying the ship until the end of the season.
While many names have popped up for the role of the next permanent boss but Kenny Dalglish feels that Neil Lennon will be in pole position if the Bhoys can have a good run under his guidance.
“Whether Neil lands the job on a permanent basis remains to be seen,” Dalglish said.
“But winning the title will put him in pole position, I would imagine.
“He started off the current run of league successes by leading the club to three successive league titles. Many would feel it would fitting for him to be at the helm as they go for eight and beyond.”
Neil Lennon managed Celtic from 2010 up till 2014 before moving to Bolton Wanderers and this is where his graph as a manager started taking a nose dive.
He eventually left Bolton in 2016 to join Hibernian and back in Scotland, he once again went on a golden run.
Now the Celtic fans are hoping that Neil Lennon can hold the ship steady until the end of the season and also guide them to a few silverware.
