Newcastle United are one of the two teams who are yet to pick up a win this season in the Premier League and Rafa Benitez is reportedly looking at Liverpool for inspiration.

The Magpies have lost seven of their opening nine games and are currently last on the league table but Rafa Benitez has maintained that his club can avoid relegation at the end of the season.

And now reports are suggesting that Newcastle are planning to make a number of new signings during the January transfer window.

Benitez is planning to bring in a couple of fresh faces and if the rumours hold true then the Magpies boss is going to make a move for Liverpool’s striking duo Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi.

Both Origi and Solanke have been rated highly by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp but those kinds words are yet to translate into game time.

And with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge infront of them, it is not likely that the out of favour duo will be getting their chances any time soon.

Newcastle United are preparing a bid to bring Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi onboard in January but they might just face some stiff competition from Rangers FC.

Rangers FC is currently managed by former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard who has already loaned in a number of Liverpool youngsters.

Gerrard was interested in signing Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi during the summer transfer window but somehow that deal could not materialize and reports have it that the Gers boss will go after then in January.

While we are sure that Rangers want the duo on loan spells but the kind of offer that Rafa Benitez is planning to make is still of much doubt.

Some rumours claim that Benitez wants the duo on loan spells knowing fully well that Jurgen Klopp will not agree to sell Dominic Solanke or Divock Origi while other say that the Magpies boss is planning to go all out.
