Sporting CP are currently going through a turmoil as their senior pros Carvalho and Bas Dost have filed documentation in the urge to dissolve their contracts with the club.

Carvalho and Dost become the fourth player to suspend their contract with Sporting following in the footsteps of goalkeeper Rui Patricio who did the same earlier this month.

And Bas Dost becoming a few agent could immensely benefit Newcastle United who have been long-term suitors of the forward.

The 29-year-old had a fairytale season in the Primeira Liga scoring 27 goals in just 30 games and this prolific goalscoring record can mean only one thing for Newcastle United.

That is, if the Magpies do decide to go after Dost then getting him will be no walk in the park.

Once the paperwork has gone through, Bas Dost will become a free agent meaning he will not cost a penny to the club who gets his services.

And a forward who has bagged 27 goals in 30 games is sure to be suited by a lot of European clubs.

Bas Dost and his agent know this very well that his free agent tag will attract a lot of clubs so we feel that they will purposely demand an inflated signing fee as well as agent fee in order to secure a lucrative deal.
