Arsenal boss Unai Emery’s recent actions have made it clear that the new boss is planning to sacrifice a number of his current first team players in order to rebuild the Gunners squad.

A lot of players have remained at the club for a long time without adding much value to the team and now it is their time to move out. Emery has already signed a number of new players and with more players expected to arrive, the former PSG boss is now in the process of clearing up all the dead wood from the dressing room.

And one such player is striker Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck arrived at the Emirates from Manchester United in 2014 and since then the English International has done very little to make a mark for Arsenal.

During the 2017-18 season, Welbeck started 28 games for the Gunners in the Premier League and managed to score just 5 goals. And now it seems that the World Cupper is no longer needed at the club.

Arsenal have signed Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre Emerick-Aubameynag during the last two transfer window meaning that Danny Welbeck has fallen further down the pecking order.

Reports are suggesting that Unai Emery has told the striker he is not a part of his future plans and a couple of days ago the Sun had reported that the Gunners are willing to sell the player during the summer transfer window.

But now it seems that Arsenal have had a chance of heart and are now preparing to send Danny Welbeck out on loan for the next season.

Everton have been favourites to land the player on a season-long loan deal but now according to TEAMtalk, Newcastle United have also started showing interest in him.

Magpies manager Rafa Benitez is interested in bringing Danny Welbeck on board for the 2018-19 season and many feel that Arsenal too want the striker to move to Newcastle simply because the London club do not consider the Magpies as direct rivals.

Newcastle United still remain interested in signing West Brom striker Salomon Rondon but with the deal yet to make any significant progress Rafa Benitez is reportedly looking at Arsenal’s Danny Welbeck as a suitable alternative.

The report also suggests that the Magpies are willing to offer Danny Welbeck wages in the region of £100,000-a-week despite the fact that the club had previously shown indications of working on a tight budget.
