A couple of weeks ago the Newcastle vs West Ham game as supposed to be a not-so-important fixture, well not atleast for the Hammers fans.

This was because the Magpies were constantly losing matches and Rafe Benitez’s side were one of the favourites to be relegated.

But ever since that draw vs Southampton, Newcastle United have managed to pick up three wins out of three games and are now sitting immediately above West Ham United in the league table.

While the Hammers still remain the favourites but after that 4-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester City, Manuel Pellegrini’s men are way short of confidence.

But if recent reports are to believed then the Hammers manager is set to receive a key injury boost right before they take on Newcastle United.

Jack Wilshere who has been recovering from an ankle injury has returned back to full training and is available for selection on Saturday.

Wilshere injured his ankle during the last week of September and was scheduled to be out for more than eight weeks.

But the midfielder has recovered early which is a huge boost for Manuel Pellegrini.

Jack Wilshere joined West Ham United from Arsenal during the summer on a free transfer and up until the injury, the midfielder had played only four Premier League games for the London outfit.

The midfielder has missed 10 games during the period when he was injured and we doubt if Pellegrini will name him in the first eleven especially now that both Mark Noble and Robert Snodgrass have returned from suspension.

At best, Jack Wilshere could come on as a second-half substitute.
