Chelsea have reached the semi-finals of the Europa League after beating Slavia Prague in the quarter-finals.

And now most pundits think, the Blues should focus more on winning the Europa League which would ensure a guaranteed spot in the Champions League next season.

Finishing in the top-four would also ensure that Chelsea will get back into the Champions League but right now as many as four teams are fighting it out for the 3rd and 4th spot on the table.

So naturally, the Stamford Bridge outfit should focus on the Europa League just like Jose Mourinho did with Man United a couple of seasons ago.

But midfielder N’Golo Kante feels that Chelsea should keep the Europa League on the side right now and focus on the remaining Premier League games.

Kante said: “The final is a target for the club and us, and it’s what we will try to do.

“We are three games away from the title but we need first to go for fourth and then do our best.

“Slavia was an important game for us, it was important to win and qualify and we did the job.

“We are happy with the win.

“The second half was a bit difficult. They scored two beautiful goals but, in the end, we went through and that’s the most important thing.

“It was a good feeling to be three goals up so early but we knew they were a good team with good fighting spirit because it’s what we felt away in the first game.

“They did very well in the second half and it was difficult but to score three goals in the first half was very good.”

Chelsea still take on Eintracht in the semi-finals of the Europa League and the first leg will be played at the Commerzbank Arena on the 2nd of May.
