Rangers FC have signed 15 players during the summer transfer window and out of those four of them are out and out centre-backs.

The first centre-backs to have arrived at the club were Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic who are also the first choice pairing for the manager this season.

And following them, the likes of Joe Worrall and Gareth McAuley arrived at Ibrox sometime later.

But out of these four players, one of them has come out to speak about the troubles that he has been facing since moving to Scotland.

We are talking about Nikola Katic who joined Rangers back in June on a four-year deal from Croatian side Slaven Belupo.

While the 21-year-old has been able to cope up with the nature of the game in Scotland, the youngster has admitted that he is finding it really difficult to understand the accent that is prevalent in the land.

Speaking to Vecernji List, Katic said: “Yeah, yeah, yeah, everybody was kidding with me for that. I’m not used to how Scots speak English.

“I’ve been learning that language for ten years and I use it well, but they have a strange use and sometimes speak fast so I don’t understand them.

“Fortunately, the majority of the players in the dressing room speak like me, so we can easily agree.

“Still, it is easier for me to speak to them in Croatian, given that Borna Barišić from Osijek has recently come to us. I have shared the dressing room with him at national gatherings, and he’s now the companion I spend most time with.”

Nikola Katic has so far played each and every game in the Scottish Premiership which just goes to outline how important he is to Steven Gerrard’s plans during the current season.

We all just hope that he can figure out the accent soon.
