Rangers have signed four new players this month but the fans are also mindful of the fact that some of their stars could also leave.

Earlier this week reports had suggested that an English club was interested in the services of James Tavernier.

And the same source had claimed that the interested club was willing to pay 7 million pounds for his services.

Immediately the transfer vines blew up and everyone was claiming that Steven Gerrard would probably sell James Tavernier off is such a big amount is offered.

Then came the signing of Jermain Defoe which has led many people to believe that Alfredo Morelos will now fall down the pecking order and will try and force a move out of the club.

Morelos has been the subject of interest during the summer transfer window as well and now with Defoe arriving a number of clubs could launch bids for the Colombian.

But the club’s director of football, Mark Allen has reassured the fans that the club have not yet received any bids for both James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos and the duo still very much remain at Ibrox.

“There’s been nothing concrete from anyone and we are very happy with everyone we have got in the squad,” Allen said.

But the problem right now is that there are still three weeks left in the transfer window and is a big club makes a move for either of these two players then Rangers will finding it agonisingly hard to resist selling them off.

And even if James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos stay with the club until the end of the season, it will be nearly impossible to keep them for the next season.
