Manchester United full-back Brandon Williams is set to move out on loan and as per Sky Sports, Norwich City seem to be the likeliest destination for the youngster.

The report claims: “Norwich are in advanced talks to sign Brandon Williams on loan from Manchester United.

“The Canaries are hopeful of winning the race for the full-back over other interested clubs – but a move is unlikely to be concluded this week.

“Williams has also been a long-term target for Southampton and Newcastle, but United have been reluctant to loan Williams out in previous windows.”

Should Ole let Williams join Norwich City?

The Manchester United manager is not ready to let the 20-year-old leave this season but it’s being claimed that the youngster wants to head out on loan to get more game time.

Man United already have Luke Shaw and Alex Telles in the left-back role and Wan-Bissaka is covered by Dalot on the right-hand side so despite Ole’s reluctance, it will be a wise decision to let him leave for one season.

United do not have too much to worry about since his contract does not expire until 2024 and he’s shown no signs of discontent at the club so far.

But the main issue with joining Norwich City is that the Canaries already have ample full-backs in their squad so it’s really tough to see how Brandon Williams will get regular game time there.

At left-back, Norwich City have Sörensen and they have also signed Dimitrios Giannoulis this summer. At right-back, Max Aarons is backed up by Sam Byram and Bali Mumba.

It will be a challenge for Williams to break into the starting line-up and there’s every chance he becomes a bench warmer at Norwich this season.

But, having said that, he has a much better chance at playing regular football with Norwich City than Manchester United.
