If you are a supporter of football and follow the transfer season closely we know how nerve-wracking it can prove to be.

One moment you know that a certain deal is done in your club’s favour and the very next moment that man is playing for your arch-rivals.

And that currently seems to be the case with the Manchester United and Spurs fans.

United are currently indulged in their pre-season tour in the US and former striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic came to meet up with his former mates.

And it was here that the big Swede commented about Man United’s big surprise – which might very be in the form of Harry Kane.

Yes, your ears are not ringing and you have read it right.

Manchester United have suddenly emerged the favourites to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.

Up until this point, it was believed that Real Madrid stand first in line to sign Harry Kane – if Spurs have any intention to offload him. But on Friday a number of betting portals have started slashing odds of Kane moving to Old Trafford.

And the cut down has been drastic.

At one point, Paddy Power had odds of 33/1 for Harry Kane moving to Manchester United but on Friday it was brought down to 4/1.

Paddy Power spokesman Lee Price said: “We are laying Harry Kane to go to Manchester United – it’s come from nowhere. The bets have just kept on coming and we’ve had to keep slashing and slashing the price. It seems punters can’t get enough of it.”

“It appears United really could get their man and that Kane may be heading to Old Trafford.”

Is Harry Kane to Man United likely to happen?

Apart from Harry Kane being the crown jewel for the Lilywhites he also happens to be the best striker in the Premier League right now. So this move of Harry Kane to Man United going through seems to be pretty tough.

Depending on the current craziness of the transfer market putting your bet against anything is tough but then Spurs is spearheaded by Daniel Levy who is one of the most shrewd personnel there is. So the last thing he would do is to sell his goal machine to a direct rival.

Having said that we are not willing to bet against the deal just yet.
