Man United are currently in serious turmoil and amongst this, there have been several reports that Paul Pogba is looking to move out during the summer.
The World Cup winner had a falling out with former manager Jose Mourinho, and it was more or less certain that the Portuguese would sell him off at the end of the season.
But as luck would have it, Mourinho himself was sacked in December and the club brought in Solskjaer as his replacement.
And from the very first match under the new regime, Paul Pogba looked a completely new player – scoring goals and providing assists.
This aura continued for the next couple of matches and it was more or less certain that Paul Pogba was feeling at home once again.
Since then though a lot has changed and the Frenchman has once again seen a dip in form and now reports are ripe that he is looking to force a move out of Manchester United during the summer.
But in a recent interview, Solskjaer has made it clear that Paul Pogba will not be leaving Old Trafford during the summer transfer window.
“You can’t guarantee anything in football but yes I think Paul is going to be here,” said Solskjaer.
“I can assure you he is now very determined to succeed at Man United.
“I would say yes I can guarantee, but in life, you can never. He will be as far as I can answer.
“The world has changed, you don’t have a Bryan Robson, a Roy Keane or Steve Bruce in our dressing room,
“Leadership is so many different things.
“We’re all different now. I don’t lead the same way as Sir Alex [Ferguson]. Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho – we’re all different leaders.”
Well, Man United will surely try their level best to keep Paul Pogba at the club beyond the summer but we feel in order to do that, they need to secure Champions League football for the next campaign.
If United fail to qualify for the Champions League next season then we doubt if Paul Pogba would want to play in the Europa League once again and he would happily join Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid.
