Manchester City overcame the United test in midweek beating their cross-town rivals, 2-0 and next up they go to Turf Moor to take on Burnley.

On paper, the Manchester Derby was the final big clash for Pep Guardiola’s men this season and everyone expects them to pick up wins in each of their remaining three games.

But former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher has some different feeling about the Super Sunday tie.

According to the Sky Sports pundit, Manchester City could very well drop points vs Burnley on Sunday.

Here’s why:

“I certainly think that is the toughest one left. I don’t see them struggling in the final two games,” Carragher told Sky Sports(via MEN).

“Burnley away is a game you’d expect Man City to win but Jurgen Klopp is right, it’s not a match you want at this time of the season.

“It was a bit like Stoke away when I was playing. You don’t want to be playing them away when the title is on the line.”

Given that Manchester City do not have a Champions League commitment this midweek, Pep Guardiola is expected to name his strongest XI on Sunday.

And it will be really hard for Burnley to keep such a strong attacking side at bay for the full 90 minutes.

While Carragher expects Manchester City to drop points on Sunday but what he should also focus on is that Liverpool have a tougher round of fixtures.

In midweek they take on Barcelona in the Champions League and they still have Newcastle United and Wolves to play in the Premier League.

And given the way Wolves have been slaying top-six sides this season, we can expect a few fireworks during the final game of the season.
