Manchester United were able to slay their Stamford Bridge demons and come out with a 2-0 victory over Chelsea on Monday.

After the loss to PSG, everyone expected a response from Solskjaer’s men and the Norwegian made sure that his players were up for the task.

With Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard out, it was a bit of an uphill task for Man United but the midfielders, in particular, made sure that they walked away from London with an easy win.

Paul Pogba was once again the fulcrum for both the goals- creating the first for Ander Herrera and then scoring the second right before half-time.

The midfielder has been on song under the caretaker boss and the World Cup winner has now been directly involved in 15 goals for Man United ever since Jose Mourinho was sacked from his duties.

Paul Pogba did have a poor outing against PSG last week but that was his only poor performances under Solskjaer.

And now speaking about the midfielder, Solskjaer has revealed how Paul Pogba was actually able to outshine his Chelsea counterparts on Monday.

“We know he’s one of the best attacking midfielders in the world, he’s got the vision, the player view,” said Solskjaer.

“The cross for Ander’s goal was fantastic, then again he plays it out to Marcus (Rashford) and way he gets into the box.

“We’ve had a couple of good days of training,

“Of course, you want him to see space, and find space. Ander was allowed more freedom to roam forward, lately he’s been asked to sit.

“Today we needed more arrivals in the box because of Marcus [Rashford] and Rom [Lukaku] being wider as well.

“He (Pogba) had a tough game against PSG, but I thought he was probably our best player – he had two or three players around him all the time.

“It was a great response. Of course, he’s playing against one of the best defensive midfielders in the world with N’Golo Kante next to him, I thought today he found the spaces. He was fantastic.”

Next up Man United take on Liverpool at home in the Premier League and the fans will be hoping to see yet another Paul Pogba masterclass.
