Manchester United have been flying high ever since Jose Mourinho was sacked at the manager and one of the big reasons for United’s success is Paul Pogba.

The caretaker boss has given Paul Pogba a more free role and finally, there is this manager who is willing to build a team around the World Cup winner.

Paul Pogba never really got off the mark under Jose Mourinho and this season things got so bad that the pair fell off.

Mourinho publicly criticised the Frenchman on numerous occasions and the midfielder also hit back with some of his own comments.

This reportedly led to a huge spat between the two and the result was that Pogba was dropped to the bench for a number of games towards the end of Mourinho’s reign.

Now that the Portuguese has vanished from the scene, Paul Pogba’s brother Mathias has come out to claim that the World Cup winner would have left Manchester United if Jose Mourinho wouldn’t have been sacked.

‘Did Paul think about leaving because of Mourinho? Of course,’ Mathias told French TV station Telefoot(as reported).

‘Of course. It comes to mind. But today he is where he is. He was under contract so he had to grit his teeth and keep working.’

Solskjaer’s arrival has rejuvenated not only Paul Pogba but the whole squad more so since the team are once again playing attacking football.

And this is where Pogba is at his best – controlling the ball and building up play and not the other way round.
