Paul Pogba has been on the sidelines for Man United with an injury for quite some time now but the midfielder was expected to be fit during the early days of December.

There were reports that the Frenchman was trying hard to make himself fit for the clash vs Spurs in midweek but he was unable to achieve full fitness forcing him to miss the return of Jose Mourinho.

But immediately after the match, the focus shifted to the Manchester Derby with many rumours claiming that Paul Pogba would be fit enough to make it to the matchday squad on Saturday.

Now though, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that Paul Pogba still remains an absentee but he is hopeful of using the World Cup winner sometime before the end of this year.

“Paul probably won’t be available, no,” the United boss said.

“We expect him back as soon as possible, as quickly as possible. He’s out on the grass training.

“I said [he’ll be back] in 2019, so hopefully we’ll see him before the new year, definitely.”

The absence of Paul Pogba has surely been a big setback for Man United forcing them to be highly inconsistent during games.

But the Man United players have always turned up against the big sides and with Scott McTominay back in the first XI, the midfielder region looks way lot better.

With Paul Pogba on the sidelines, Fred will get another start in central midfield and the fans would be hoping the Brazilian can come up with a performance similar to what he produced against Spurs in midweek.
