West Ham United have managed to pick up a draw vs Liverpool in the Premier League on Monday.

And this victory will be especially sweet since the Hammers had been battling a number of injuries coming into the match.

But deep down inside Manuel Pellegrini would know that his team should have won the match as they squandered a series of great chances in the first half.

Liverpool had taken the lead in the first half but then Michael Antonio levelled things up just six minutes after falling behind.

The match ended 1-1 but the Hammers fans were furious since Liverpool’s goal came from a move which should have been flagged offside.

James Milner assisted Sadio Mane who put the ball in the net but replays showed that Milner was miles offside and the linesman failed to raise his flags despite being just metres away from the action.

And speaking after the game, Manuel Pellegrini has chosen not to mince his words saying that Jurgen Klopp is a manager who is used to winning from offside goals.

“Klopp is used to winning with offside goals,” said Pellegrini.

“He beat me against Malaga with a goal seven metres offside – so he cannot complain about anything.

“They scored a goal one-metre offside. And in the last minute with Origi in front of the linesman, again one metre offside.

“I said in the week that we need to win this game for our fans and if we are going to give a hand to Manchester City, well, they are my club also,

“Maybe that was the reason the manager of Liverpool didn’t like it.”

Pellegrini is known to be a manager who is mostly level headed but this time he has gone all out to express his discomfort.

And things would have been even worse if Divock Origi would have managed to score the winner from that late pass which wasn’t flagged offside either.
