‘This’ La Liga failure likely to join Liverpool and not Man United: But there’s one major clause

Philippe Coutinho has been the main point for debate for the past couple of days and with each passing day, the Brazilian’s future seems to be more in doubt.

Barca has brought in Antoine Griezmann this summer and are reportedly also looking to bring back Neymar from PSG.

And this is why multiple rumours have claimed that the Catalans are looking to offload Philippe Coutinho this summer with the likes of PSG, Man United and even Liverpool interested in signing him.

Initially, it was thought that Man United were going to be the most likely destination for the Brazilian but recently his agent had come out to indicate pretty strongly that Philippe Coutinho will not be moving out of the Camp Nou anytime soon.

Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian told The Telegraph: “I was told they have no intention of selling him, that Barcelona have not spoken to anyone and that stories to the contrary are simply not true.

“I will not let people talk about Philippe and put him down because for one-and-a-half years we have said nothing.

“I won’t let them do that and all of us in Philippe’s camp will not let that happen because Barcelona have told us he is staying.

“Coutinho’s camp are not actively looking to move him but we believe people inside Barcelona may be acting without authority to try and sell the player.

“Either Barcelona have to contain the people within their organisation who are giving out information to the contrary or they have to tell us the truth if they have changed their minds.”

Recently though there were reports that PSG had made contact with Philippe Coutinho so his agent had to come out and address the issue once again but this time in a much timid tone.

Joorabchian told Sky Sports(as reported by talkSPORT): “Paris Saint-Germain are a great club, but we have had no contact about Philippe with them whatsoever.

“We’ve never had a conversation with them about Philippe and we know them very well. It’s never been in consideration.

“It’s something that if it comes to the point that Barcelona would like Philippe to leave then we would do what is best for him.”

“Coutinho has never spoken about leaving. At the moment we are extremely calm and haven’t gone out to get an offer because we’ve been told categorically that he is not for sale,

“But Liverpool lies very deeply in his heart, he has a strong affinity with the club so it would be difficult for him to go to one of their direct rivals.”

And now it is being reported that Liverpool is the most likely destination for Philippe Coutinho as the Reds are planning to bring back the winger to Anfield on a loan deal.

Barca are pretty confident that Liverpool have no intentions of spending huge sums of money this summer which is why they too could agree to this offer of a two-year loan deal with the option to buy at £88million.

Up until now, most people were ruling out Liverpool’s interest in Philippe Coutinho due to the huge transfer fee involved but now that the Anfield outfit have shown an inclination of making a move for the Brazilian, there’s every chance that he could be playing under Jurgen Klopp next season.
