Barcelona signed Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool during the January transfer window of 2018 for a reported fee of €145 million.

But it looks like the Brazilian could be on his way out of the club during the summer transfer window.

Last season, Philippe Coutinho failed to make his mark on the Spanish league as he managed to net just 5 goals and make 2 assists in 34 league games for the Catalans.

And now that the club have brought in Antoine Griezmann, Philippe Coutinho might very well be shown the door. More so since the club are planning to hand the number 7 shirt worn by Coutinho to the newly arrived Frenchman.

Barca have paid a lot of money to bring in Griezmann from Atletico Madrid and right now they are also planning to bring back Neymar from PSG.

So naturally, the Catalans are badly in need of funds which they can gather by selling off the Brazilian with a number of clubs interested in him.

Man United have been linked with the winger while Liverpool have also been marked as a possible destination for him.

Liverpool are not expected to spend heavily this summer but reports claim that Philippe Coutinho could be available for as low as €90 million.

The Brazilian was brought in for around €145 million but after a poor 2018-19 season, his market value has plummeted and now a bid of around €90 million should be enough to sign him during the summer.

Jurgen Klopp did claim last week that Liverpool do not have any plans to make big money signings this summer but if Philippe Coutinho is really available for €90 million then the German boss should try and give it some real thought.

Especially since Liverpool are yet to reinvest the money they had received from the Brazilian’s sale in order to bring in a like-for-like replacement.
