Barcelona misfit Philippe Coutinho is not wanted at Camp Nou anymore and rumours are ripe that the Brazilian wishes to return to the English Premier League next season.

A series of top English clubs have been linked with an interest with the playmaker but John Barnes has urged Philippe Coutinho to choose between two clubs only.

Barnes told Bonus Code Bets, via talkSPORT: “It is an exciting watch with what is going to happen with Philippe Coutinho this summer, they are many teams that are wanting to sign him.

“I don’t think Tottenham would be interested, as I don’t know if the way that José Mourinho likes to play will suit him, as he likes the ball and having a lot of possession, whereas Mourinho doesn’t necessarily play that way.

“Arsenal could be the best club with the style of football they play. Chelsea could be another good match, because of the way Frank Lampard sets up his team, so with that in mind, Arsenal or Chelsea would be the best solution for him.

“I don’t think he will go to Manchester City to be honest. Pep Guardiola would be able to get the best out of him but there are often times that he has been in a successful team already, and he hasn’t been able to show off as much as he would like.”

Honestly, we do not see Chelsea making a move for Philippe Coutinho if they can manage to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen in the coming weeks.

Lampard has already spent a lot of money on new arrivals this summer and if he gets Havertz as well, the Chelsea boss will not have too much left to make a move for the Barcelona misfit.

Arsenal though can surely use the services of a player like Coutinho and rumours have been ripe that his agent might be pushing a deal in favour of the Emirates outfit.

While a player like Philippe Coutinho does not ideally suit the style of Jose Mourinho but Spurs are badly in need of big-name players so it shouldn’t come as a surprise if Daniel Levy tries to swoop in the 28-year-old.
