Man United go head-to-head against PSG in the Champions League Round of 16 this Tuesday.

And being a home game, Solskajer would want to pick up atleast a win against Thomas Tuchel’s side.

When the draw was announced, PSG were the odds out favourites to pick up a win vs Man United.

But during the past month, a lot of things have changed.

Firstly Man United have been performing exceptionally well under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and now PSG have been hit with a number of injury blows during the past couple of weeks.

Neymar has already been ruled out from both the legs with a foot injury and now it looks like Edinson Cavani could also miss the first leg with a muscle injury.

And according to football experts, a combination of injuries and mental fragility could lead to the downfall of PSG this Tuesday.

French football expert, Philippe Auclair has claimed that PSG are nervous due to the recent injury blows.

Auclair said(as reported): “It was not the kind of game that settled the nerves, which are already quite raw before the encounter with Manchester United.

“They are very, very nervous about it.

“And no Verratti. Which means no midfield.”

And as per BT Sports presenter, Reshmin Chowdhury, PSG aren’t mentally strong enough.

“I covered them going out to Barcelona, I covered them going out to Real Madrid,” Chowdhury said.

“I’ve written about this week and what I’ve seen from PSG is that when the stakes are that high, against Villefranche they’re not that high but they’ve got the chance to exit the cup so that changes the parameters, but when the stakes are that high they mentally just have this, there’s a fragility there.

“For me, there’s a mental fragility and knowing they’ve got that psychological blow of no Neymar for the two games, he makes a huge difference.”
