Ligue 1 side PSG have reportedly joined Premier League side Manchester United in the pursuit of 22-year-old midfielder Romain Faivre.
The report claims: “After having extended his contract only four months after his arrival (on Christmas day), to lock his future a little more (June 2025) and reward his excellent performances at the start of the season, Romain Faivre finds himself increasingly courted.
“According to our information, among the hordes of clubs which are beginning to monitor its progress, we find PSG.
“A simple observation, for the moment, but the interest is there. In Europe, Manchester United would also be attentive to its performance.
“Enough to make him want to continue his extraordinary rise in recent months.”
Romain Faivre currently plays for Ligue 1 side Brest having joined the side this past summer from Monaco. And so far this season, the midfielder has scored four and assisted three goals in 19 league games for the French side.
The 22-year-old has received high praise for his performances this season and the interest of PSG is surely big news. But we don’t think Solskjaer is interested in signing him any time soon.
Ole has a plethora of midfielders in his first-team squad right now and they have recently also been linked with West Ham United’s Declan Rice.
If this was not enough then a player like Donny van de Beek cannot get playing time in the first-team this season so quite evidently there will be no place for Romain Faivre at the club.
We have no idea how strongly PSG want to sign the Brest midfielder but if Pochettino does decide to make a move for him in the summer then the Parisian side should be able to sign Faivre without any major obstacles.
