Rangers picked up a 2-1 win over arch-rivals Celtic FC on Sunday and it was yet another action-packed Old Firm Derby.

The game saw a penalty save from Gers keeper Allan McGregor and right at the end of the game Alfredo Morelos and Rangers coach Michael Beale was sent off.

It was Ryan Kent who gave Rangers the lead in the 36th minute only for Edouard to put Celtic back on level terms three minutes before half time.

But in the end it a header from Nikola Katic which proved to be the decider of the match and speaking after the final whistle Steven Gerrard terms this Old Frim win as his best till date as manager.

Gerrard said via Sky Sports: “It feels the best right now. But I don’t want to take anything away from the fact that we have just came out a Champions League level (Europa League) group to qualify for the last-32.

“Celtic are a fantastic team, you only have to look at the recent years and what they have achieved. They have serial winners in the team.

“This is a big challenge for me and all the players but we are doing everything we can to take the challenge to them.

“It is a big moment for the team and the club because it has been through too much pain here, too many defeats and setbacks and knocks.

“It is a big win and huge win because we have come here and dominated again against a very good team, a successful team and a team we have respect for because of what they have achieved.”

The win now means that Celtic have now lost their second game of the 2019-20 Premiership campaign while but have helped Rangers move within two points of the leaders having played one less game than their Old Firm rival.
