Steven Gerrard wants Filip Helander at Aston Villa

Steven Gerrard’s men started the new season in fine form but as the business end of the campaign is coming closer, the Gers are losing steam.

Rangers have already lost a couple of points during the past couple of weeks and the manager is expected to make a couple more signings during the January transfer window.

And if reports are to be believed then one of those signings could be Tottenham youngster Jaden Brown.

Jaden Brown who plays a left-back for the Spurs U23 side is out of contract at the end of the summer and Daniel Levy seems to have decided to cash in on the 19-year-old at the start of the new year.

The left-back has represented England in various divisions up until the U-1o levels and he is definitely one of the more important players for Spurs in Premier League 2.

But Jaden Brown is still miles away from breaking into the first team under Mauricio Pochettino and the youngster seems to have decided to try his luck elsewhere.

Rangers though are not the only club who seems to be interested in signing the full-back as the report claims that Newcastle United and Huddersfield are both expected to make a move for the player.

Rangers though lead the race to the signing of Jaden Brown since a few rumours in England claim that neither Rafa Benitez nor David Wagner is interested in spending money on the left-back.

Steven Gerrard has used a number of players in that troubled left-back position but up until now, the manager is yet to find that right player.

Maybe Jaden Brown could be the answer to Rangers FC’s left-back problems.
