Rangers FC have reappointed Barry Scott to the Ibrox board – the club confirmed earlier this week.

Barry Scott stepped down from the board earlier this year in May but now he is back after a couple of months of absence.

Scott was allotted 8,645,000 shares in the recent rights issue and will now join the likes of Dave King in the Ibrox board.

A statement from Rangers FC read: “Rangers International Football Club PLC is pleased to announce that Barry Scott is rejoining its Board of Directors.

“Barry left the Board for a short time earlier this year in order to attend to other business affairs and the Board is delighted that he is now able to offer his services again and contribute to the continued success of the Company.”

The Hong Kong based businessman Barry Scott is a lifelong Rangers FC fans and he was part of the group of investors who helped the club repay off a loan from Mike Ashley’s Sports Direct
