Rangers FC and Spartak Moscow played out a thrilling encounter in the Europa League last week which saw the Gers lose 4-3.
While the loss of three crucial points will certainly be a big cause of concern for Steven Gerrard but now it seems that both the clubs could be in for a punishment from UEFA.
Rangers and Spartak kicked off their game two minutes late and reports are suggesting that they could face a penalty.
What was the reason for the delay?
The primary reason for the delay was the late arrival of Alfredo Morelos onto the pitch.
Video evidence shows that referee Ivan Bebek was waiting for the Gers striker which is being claimed as the one and only reason for the lag.
What will be the extent of the punishment?
A recent Champions League game between Man United and Valencia saw a similar kind of problem where the Red Devils arrived late. They were subsequently fined £13,000.
So we can expect the range of punishment to be in a similar bracket to the above-mentioned incident.

Can Rangers FC avoid punishment?
Some reports do claim that Rangers FC might just be able to avoid any kind of punishment for the delay by pleading as first-time offenders.
Spartak though might not be let off the hook so easily as they have several other charges against them.
