Jose Mourinho Tottenham take on Chelsea

Manchester United have made a very poor start to the new Premier League season as they currently sit eighth on the league table – 12 points away from the top spot.

United have already lost 4 games in the campaign and any hopes of challenging for the title have well and truly fizzled away.

The Red Devils were on a fine run of form after that superb comeback against Newcastle United but they were halted on their tracks this weekend by Manchester City.

Jose Mourinho’s men lost the Manchester Derby 3-1 this Sunday and with that loss, the voices against the manager are rising once again.

A number of fans and pundits still want the Man United management to get rid of Jose Mourinho as soon as possible but there is one former United player who is not yet ready to give up on the Portuguese.

The player in question is former Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic who has recently claimed that Jose Mourinho is still the right man for the job at Old Trafford.

“To be honest, in the future I would like to be the manager,” he said.

“I would like to think that I know things.

“For me to criticise Jose Mourinho, as someone who may be in the future can become the manager, is not fair.

“He is the manager, he has won a lot of trophies. It’s not the Manchester we are used to watching, its’s Mourinho’s Manchester and when he came to Manchester you have to accept that he is the manager who is going to play this kind of football.

“It is the kind of football he played at Inter, at Chelsea more or less, and Madrid maybe it was more open. At the end of the day, that’s Mourinho’s football.”
