Rangers FC have secured the signing of talented teenager Charlie Lindsay – as per reports.

The 16-year-old was associated with Irish side Glentoran FC but recently he had played a few games for the Rangers youth side as a guest.

And now as per Sun Sport, the Gers have signed a three-year contract with the player and he will be joining the Ibrox outfit in July when he turns 16.

Expert analysts Nick Summerbee and Chris Makin had recently compared the player to Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney meaning Lindsay is surely destined to achieve great things.

They had said: “This Rangers side had so much to live up to, given the fabulous performance of their predecessors last year.

“And, to be fair, I’m not sure they had the same quality running through the squad as was the case in 2019, but this lad has been the obvious exception.

“I don’t think anyone has had a tournament like him. Joint top scorer heading into the last day, and a natural finisher, he reminds me so much of Wayne Rooney.

“Lindsay gets in on the left of this team, allowing him to cut in, which we’ve seen him do so well in this tournament, although he’s shown he can play anywhere across the front line.”

This signing is obviously one for the future and joining Rangers FC is mostly certainly a step up in the career of the player more so since he now has the opportunity to be monitored by none other than Steven Gerrard.

The player will be 16 in the summer and if everything goes right for him then in the next couple of years, he could be playing in the first-team squad under the guidance of the Liverpool legend.
