Ayr United striker Lawrence Shankland is eager to join Rangers FC – according to reports.

Shankland joined Ayr United in the summer of 2017 and this campaign the striker has been setting the Championship on fire.

So far Lawrence Shankland has played 26 games for Ayr in all competitions and the managed to score a sensational 28 goals along with seven assists.

In the Championship alone Lawrence Shankland has scored 18 goals in 18 games during the 2018/19 season.




And now according to RockSport Radio journalist Bill Young, the youngster is eager to join the Ibrox outfit.



Lawrence Shankland is out of contract at Ayr at the end of the season and the club’s management has hinted that they will to let the striker go out this month if a decent enough offer comes by.




Shankland is free to talk to clubs this month and many pundits believe that Rangers should make an approach in order to sign a pre-contract with the player and sign him up for free during the summer transfer.

And fears are that is the Gers do not make a move right now then Lawrence Shankland will have no shortage of takers at the end of the season – with the rate at which he is scoring goals.
