Rangers FC have signed nearly a dozen players since Steven Gerrard was announced as the new boss earlier on during the summer.
And with so many players arriving everyone knew that a number of the current squad members were about to head for the exit doors.
Players like Eduardo Herrera, Bruno Alves and Carlos Pena have all been sent out of the club – either on loan deals or free transfer. And now another player’s name has been added to the long list of departures – Declan John.
During the past couple of days, reports had emerged that the left wing-back was on the verge of moving out of the club and on Thursday the Light Blues announced that Declan John had joined Swansea City on a three-year deal.

The transfer fee has not yet been disclosed by either club but some reports suggest that the Gers have taken somewhere in the region of £1m including add-ons.
But a large section of the fans are not very happy with the rumoured transfer fee as they feel that their club should have demanded more for a player who played 31 games last season.
Declan John played a number of games during the 2017-18 season due to the injury sustained by Lee Wallace but with a number of defensive reinforcements arriving during the summer, Declan John had been pushed down the pecking order at the club.
But the departure of Declan John to Swansea City has not caused a stir amongst the fans as the majority of them feel that the club have far better players in the left-back position and Gerrard has made a smart move by selling him off.
Don’t know why people are so upset about Declan John going there.
He left because we had better & we still have better. It’s a good move for the lad.

One of the worst fullbacks I've seen at Cardiff. Judas. Swansea suit him to the ground 🤣

If reports are to be believed, the 'undisclosed fee' is daylight robbery.
