Rangers FC have been buying players ever since Steven Gerrard took charge of the club.
During the summer, the Gers bought a string of new players and this month too, the club have made as many as four signings.
But apart from buying new faces, the manager has also been offloading deadwood from the locker room – steadily.
And the club have confirmed that one more such player has left Ibrox out on loan until the end of the season.
On Thursday the club revealed that forward Eduardo Herrera has joined Mexican club Necaxa on loan until the end of the season.
Herrera joined Rangers from Pumas in 2017 for a fee of £1.5 million and the centre-forward turned out to be a big flop at the club.
And this past summer, Steven Gerrard sent him out on loan to Mexican side Santos Laguna but the player failed to impress even there.
Eduardo Herrera was scheduled to stay at Santos until the end of the season but the club chose to terminate his contract this month after a series of poor performances.
On Thursday, Rangers have revealed that Eduardo Herrera will be staying in Mexico via an official statement:
“RANGERS can confirm that Eduardo Herrera has joined Necaxa on loan from Santos Laguna until 30 June 2019,” the statement read.
“The Mexican international forward joined Rangers last season and made 24 appearances, scoring two goals.”
This second loan move for Eduardo Herrera in one season is proof that he is no longer needed at Rangers and the club will surely not renew his contract which expires during the summer.
