Rangers FC have made more than half a dozen signings during the summer transfer window and now reports are claiming that Steven Gerrard has his eyes set on one of the old boys.
Gerrard has been handed the job to remodel the squad so that they can compete with Celtic during the next season and some reports are now claiming that the Ibrox outfit wants to make a move for Kyle Lafferty.
Lafferty right now 30, has already had a stint with the Light Blues which proved to be quite successful
The forward joined Rangers from Burnley in 2008 and during his four years stay at the club, he managed to make 138 appearances – scoring 38 goals in all competitions.
The reports claim that Rangers are ready to offer £450,000 in the form of transfer price to Hearts.
This though was not the first time that Lafferty has been linked with a move back to Rangers as Kyle Lafferty had harboured feelings of re-joining his old club but at that time the Gers refused to take him back.
Now though it seems that Mark Allen has clearly realised the gaffe he made and is willing to rectify his error by making launching a bid for the forward.
Kyle Lafferty though is not the only forward that Rangers are eying right now as reports claim that the Ibrox outfit are close to securing a loan deal for AS Roma striker Umar Sadiq.
The attacking department is perhaps the only area that Steven Gerrard needs to look into right now and having said that, the Rangers fans would not mind having both Kyle Lafferty and Sadiq in their squad.
