Rangers FC have so far signed eleven players during the summer transfer window but the manager has suggested that he still intends to bring in two more players before the end of the month.

Even the management has backed this statement saying that they will provide adequate support to their manager during the remainder of the transfer window.

And keeping in line with this news, the reports are claiming that the claiming that Gerrard is looking to bring in one more centre-back and one more striker.

While Hearts frontman Kyle Lafferty is expected to join the club in the coming few days, the Light Blues are still in search of their third centre-back.

Rangers have signed Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic during the summer and the manager is said to be looking at Bournemouth’s Jack Simpson as the back up to his first choice pair.

Cherries manager Eddie Howe had said last month that Jack Simpson moving to Rangers is highly unlikely after which the Gers have started weighing in their other options.

But recent reports believe that Steven Gerrard is still fixed on Jack Simpson.

Simpson is not going get regular game time in the Premier League but given the thin squad that Eddie Howe has, the 21-year-old moving to Scotland is not a realistic possibility.
