Manchester United and Juventus are two clubs which have shown a keen interest in signing Raul Jimenez from Wolves, as per the latest rumours.

Man United are set to lose Odion Ighalo while Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain is also likely to leave in the summer. And this is why many experts believe, these two clubs are about to start a transfer battle for the Wolves forward.

United were ready to offer Ighalo a permanent deal but his parent club Shanghai Shenhua want him back for the Chinese Super League which is the main reason why Solskjaer is so inclined on landing Jimenez in the summer.

Juventus are also set to lose Higuain who as per some reports could return back to the Premier League and the Turin outfit might have already chalked out a plan to sign Jimenez.

As per reports, the Old Lady are willing to pay around €30 million plus a midfielder for the services of Jimenez and now it remains to be seen if Nuno Espirito Santo is willing to accept this arrangement or not.

UPDATE: Raul Jimenez might not be sold

Yes, just when this transfer rumour was starting to simmer, Daily Mail are claiming that the Wolves boss is under no pressure to sell off either Raul Jimenez or Adama Traore in the summer.

TEAMtalk have revealed: “According to the Daily Mirror, however, Wolves owners Fosun have informed Portuguese coach Nuno that he does not have to cash in on the club’s success over the past two seasons.

“Instead, the manager will be allowed to keep Jimenez and Traore – as well as other top talent such as Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho – as Wolves press to finish the season in the top four.”

This is a real setback for Manchester United and Juventus who were really eager to bring Raul Jimenez on board during the summer.

So it’s clear, Raul Jimenez will not be sold off due to financial requirements but that does not mean, he won’t be sold at all.

Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly keen to sign Carlos Vinicius from Benfica and if this deal goes through then the Wolves manager might look to offload Jimenez in order to make more space in the dressing room.
