Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is wanted by a some of the biggest clubs in Europe and last week, Ligue 1 giants PSG became the latest entrant in the transfer race.

Le10Sport had reported: “In search of a centre forward for the summer transfer window, PSG remains alert on the Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang track, which has only one year of contract at Arsenal.

“Within the staff of Paris Saint-Germain, the recruitment of a striker centre forward is one of the big files opened for the transfer window. If the club has a purchase option for Mauro Icardi until May 31, it has still not been exercised.”

This was surely a big blow for not only Arsenal but also for teams like Chelsea and Man United since they are also keen on landing the forward during the summer.

PSG withdraw interest from Aubameyang?

According to ESPN, PSG are edging closer to signing Mauro Icardi on a permanent deal which means, Thomas Tuchel will no longer be needing Aubameyang.

ESPN’s Julien Laurens writes: “Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi is edging closer to a permanent move to Paris Saint-Germain, sources have told ESPN.

“Talks between the two clubs have intensified while Wanda Nara, Icardi’s wife and agent, has also been busy finalising a deal with the Parisian club while putting pressure on the Italian side to lower the fee.”

This is great news for Arsenal but Arteta’s joy will be really short-lived since teams like Chelsea & Man United still remain interested in signing the Gabon international.

Also, Inter Milan are one of the clubs being linked with Aubameyang and now that they are letting Icardi leave, Conte’s also expected to make a move for the Arsenal forward.

But various reports have claimed that the forward wishes to remain in the Premier League meaning Manchester United and Chelsea are right now the frontrunners to signing him.
