Wolves are planning to bring in 27-year-old Paulinho from SC Braga as a replacement to Raul Jimenez who is on his way to join Manchester United. That’s according to an update from RTP.

The report claims: “Sporting de Braga striker Paulinho is on the verge of strengthening the English Wolverhampton team.

“The footballer heads to England in a €30 million deal to join the most Portuguese team in the main English league.

“The transfer, mediated by businessman Jorge Mendes, is practically concluded, you know, RTP.”

Paulinho has been in great form for Braga this past season, scoring 25 goals in 48 appearances for the club and at €30 million, he will be the perfect replacement to Raul Jimenez.

Jimenez has been on Solskjaer’s radar for a couple of months now as the Man United manager pretty clearly wants to add a new centre-forward to his ranks before the next season begins.

Teams like Arsenal are also keen on signing the 29-year-old but it’s pretty clear that the Gunners are yet to make up their minds regarding the transfer(and we doubt if they would make a decision until the Aubameyang situation is sorted out).

As things stand right now, Man United look the frontrunners in signing Raul Jimenez but with Anthony Martial amongst the ranks, the Portuguese will have to fight for his place in the starting XI at OT next season.

At Arsenal, things could be totally different for the Wolves man if Mikel Arteta does decide to part ways with either Aubameyang or Alexandre Lacazette in the coming few weeks.
