Rangers FC might be on the verge of selling their most prolific striker Alfredo Morelos and Ligue 1 side Lille seems to be his next destination, according to Football Insider.

The report claims: “Rangers are in advanced talks to sell Alfredo Morelos to Lille in a deal worth £17million, Football Insider understands.

“The Colombia international is understood to be keen on joining the Ligue 1 outfit after three years at Ibrox.

“A source at Ibrox has told Football Insider that the two clubs are close to agreeing on an eight-figure fee for the 24-year-old and that a deal could be done as early as next week.

“Rangers are set to kick off their new Premiership campaign on Saturday with a trip to Aberdeen and it remains to be seen whether Morelos is involved.”

There has been a lot of buzz that Alfredo Morelos might be heading to the Premier League this summer but it looks like the 24-year-old will be joining Lille in the coming weeks.

Some rumours in France have suggested that the player and Lille have already agreed on personal terms and now the French club have started negotiations with Rangers FC over the transfer fee.

If Lille are genuinely offering £17million then we do not think the Gers will have a choice but to let Alfredo Morelos leave since a club like Rangers can really put this money to good use.

Rangers will face Aberdeen this weekend in the Premiership and if the Colombian is left out of this game, then we can be almost certain that he is ready to head out of Scotland.
