Real Madrid have made a bid for AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker as the player still remains a transfer target for Liverpool.

The Roma shot-stopper is one of the most sought-after players in the European transfer market this summer and with each passing day a new club is joining the queue to sign the 25-year-old.

Recent reports had suggested that Liverpool have made an official bid of £57 million for Alisson but since then Sky Sports reporter Vinny O’Connor has rubbished such reports.

Now through The Daily Mail are of the view that Real Madrid have made an opening bid of £50 million for the Brazilian keeper.

Real Madrid recently appointed former Spain coach Julen Lopetegui as their new manager and it seems that Spanish boss have already set the ball rolling.

Up until now, Real Madrid were said to be looking at Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois but now with the bid for Alisson, the report states that the Los Blancos have dropped their interest in the Chelsea No 1.

This will come as a huge boost for the Stamford Bridge outfit who are in the process of a new manager who can replace Antonio Conte.

But, Real Madrid’s move for Alisson might not be very good news for Arsenal as another report claims that if AS Roma are to lose their No 1 then they will make a move for Bayer Leverkusen keeper Bernd Leno who is on the radar of Arsenal.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has made significant progress in the signing of Leno but Roma feel that they can make a final ditch bid and swoop up the Leverkusen keeper.

Having said all this, there’s no need to hit the panic buttons just yet because both Liverpool and Real Madrid’s bid are currently way short of what AS Roma are actually demanding(£75 million) for Alisson Becker.
