Arsenal have reportedly made an opening bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema and everyone at the Bernabeu find it really hilarious.

According to Diario Gol, Arsenal have made an initial offer of £40 million for the French hitman and Real’s president Florentino Perez finds it very funny. The Los Blancos president feels that Arsenal have offered way less than what they expect and that the Gunners will definitely have to shell out a lot more if they are serious about getting the player.

The 29-year-old has scored only 4 goals from his 14 appearances during the current campaign and it is pretty evident that Benzema is far off from his best form. So much so that reports have if Zinedine Zidane has lost faith in the player and is already out on the market looking for a new striker.

The Real Madrid boss is looking at Harry Kane as a probable replacement to Benzema and feels that the English International can seamlessly adjust himself into the Los Blancos team. Real are already said to be preparing a bid for the Spurs man and that is one of the biggest reasons why they are planning to offload Benzema during the January transfer window itself.

But clearly, Arsenal’s bid of £40 million feels embarrassing and makes the talents of Benzema look like a mockery.
