4-3-1-2 Real Madrid’s predicted line up vs Bayern Munich: Tchouameni misses out but Carvajal returns?

Carlo Ancelotti Real Madrid

Real Madrid scored a late penalty to pick up a 2-2 draw vs Bayern Munich last week and now they will welcome the Bavarians on their home turf for the 2nd leg of the Champions League semi-final.

The match is perfectly balanced at 2-2 and since Real Madrid are planning at home, everyone is expecting them to go through to the final eventually. Bayern looked ok in the first leg but at the weekend, they suffered yet another league defeat, this time at the hands of Stuttgart.

Another plus point for Carlo Ancelotti will be the fact that his side have wrapped up the La Liga title at the weekend as Girona beat Barcelona which means the manager can now put his undivided attention on this upcoming Champions League clash.

Bayern Munich will definitely throw the kitchen sink at Madrid on Wednesday night because Leverkusen have already won the Bundesliga but the Los Blancos are undefeated in their previous 20 home games and they should find an answer in midweek as well.

Real Madrid team news and injuries:

DEFENCE:

Dani Carvajal will return from his ban which is a big positive for Ancelotti and he will straight away replace Lucas Vazquez at right-back.

Tchouameni is the only doubt in the whole Real Madrid squad and if he is not available for selection then Carlo will most probably use Nacho alongside Antonio Rudiger in central defence. Eder Militao is also back to full fitness and he is also an option.

Thibaut Courtois was fit to be on the bench in the first leg and he has been named in this matchday squad as well. However, Carlo Ancelotti will put his firm faith in Andriy Lunin who has been the No 1 for most of this season.

MIDFIELD:

Toni Kroos ran the show for Real Madrid in the first leg and if he can come up with a similar performance on Wednesday night then there’s no stopping the home team.

The central midfield trio will remain unchanged with Kroos, Camavinga and Valverde playing in the middle while Jude Bellingham will operate in the more advanced role as he’s done throughout this season.

Luka Modric’s minutes has diminished this season but the Croatian still remains a potent threat off the bench and he is expected to some game time if Ancelotti wants fresh legs on the pitch.

ATTACK:

Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo have been shouldering the attacking responsibility for Real Madrid this season and the pair have scored 38 goals between them this season.

Vini scored both of Madrid’s goals in the first leg and if he can find a way around Kimmich and Upamecano then the home side will be cruising. Bellingham, despite being a midfielder, has scored an astounding 22 goals in his debut season and he will also be a major threat in the opposition box.

Real Madrid predicted line up vs Bayern Munich:
