Romelu Lukaku turned out to be a massive failure at Manchester United but he finally got what he wanted and head out of the club to join Inter Milan during the summer.

At Inter, the big Belgian seems to have found his feet in the Serie A managing to net nine goals in just 12 matches for the club.

While many Man United fans are a bit frustrated at seeing Romelu Lukaku scoring goals at Inter but we are pretty sure they wouldn’t be too affected with the fact that is no longer playing for them.

Initially, the player’s acquisition was met with a lot of positive reviews primarily because of the kind of form that he had shown at Wigan and Everton but according to Everton’s former director of football Steve Walsh, he had warned Jose Mourinho against signing the forward.

“When Jose [Mourinho] signed Romelu Lukaku from Everton, I remember saying to him, ‘You have to be careful with Lukaku. He is a big baby, you know’, “Walsh said.

“He said he could handle him. I don’t think he really got Lukaku on-side mentally, which you have to do.

“That is the case with him and Paul Pogba. They aren’t my type of players. They are more about themselves than the team. I wouldn’t have touched them. Because they are good players doesn’t mean you are going to get a good team out of it.”

Jose Mourinho brought in Romelu Lukaku thinking his physical presence would be an asset going forward for the club. But instead of making key passes towards the other attackers, the striker was instead chasing down his own first touches.

Romelu Lukaku is a player who is exquisite when the ball is fed to him in and around the penalty area but unfortunately, both Mourinho, as well as Solskjaer, do not set up teams like that.

While Solskjaer did want to keep Romelu Lukaku at the club but the Belgian clearly understood that his days in the Premier League were numbered.
