Ryan Kent is one of the most sought after youngster this summer and Rangers are trying hard to bring the winger back to Ibrox after a successful loan spell last season.

A number of clubs were interested in signing him this summer but one by one all the club seemed to have backed off meaning the Gers are once again favourites to sign him.

Rangers assistant boss Gary McAllister though has always maintained that if Liverpool plan to send Ryan Kent out on loan for the upcoming season then the Ibrox outfit will surely be in pole position.

He told the Scottish Sun“It is ongoing, but the decisions at Liverpool will probably be later down the line.

“Is he worth the wait? I would say so.

“He has got a rapport with the fans and there is no doubt he enjoyed his time here. That’s on the pitch, in and around the training ground and the city as well — he enjoyed Glasgow.

“We have to be aware that Liverpool might receive bids, but you don’t know. If Ryan is to go back out on loan again, I think we’d be first in line.”

Now if recent reports are to be believed then Ryan Kent will be arriving at Ibrox but that will once happen towards the very end of the transfer window.

Liverpool currently have a number of forwards on international duty which means they will also be given extended breaks to recover.

And this will mean that Jurgen Klopp will the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane during the club’s pre-season games.

As a result of this, it is being claimed that the Liverpool boss wants to use Ryan Kent in attack during the pre-season friendlies and will only let him leave once his regular forwards return back to Melwood.

This is certainly a bit of a setback for Steven Gerrard since the Gers start their Europa League campaign next week and the Rangers manager was looking to secure the services of Ryan Kent before that.
