Rangers brought in Ryan Kent on a season-long loan deal from Liverpool last season and the winger turned out to be one of the biggest successes under new boss Steven Gerrard.

While most loanees failed to cope up with life at Ibrox, Ryan Kent ended the season with multiple goals and assists along with the SPFA Young Player of the Year award.

And now, Gerrard is desperate to bring him back on loan for the 2019-20 season as well.

But unlike last season, this time around a number of clubs have shown interest in signing him up and some even want to buy him permanently.

The likes of Birmingham and Leeds United want Ryan Kent on loan while Aston Villa want to bring him onboard permanently this summer.

While reports still claimed that if Liverpool want to loan him out then Rangers will obviously be the first in line to sign him but if they wish to offload him permanently then there’s very little the Premiership outfit can do.

Reports had suggested that Liverpool want somewhere in the region of £12 million for Ryan Kent and Aston Villa are quite capable of spending such an amount especially since they have just secured promotion to the Premier League.

But now there is some goods news for the Gers as rumours are claiming that Villa have pulled out of the race to sign Ryan Kent as they feel the transfer price is a bit too inflated.

Also, it was reported last week that Leeds United had seen a bid rejected for a proposed loan deal for the winger and they do not wish to return back with a revised offer.

If this holds true then surely Rangers are once again back on the driver’s seat as a loan move is now the only option left for the youngster.

Ryan Kent had previously claimed that he wishes to settle down permanently after having moved around on loan deals for the past couple of seasons but with the way things are shaping up, it looks like the Liverpool outcast will have to spend one more season on loan at Ibrox.
