Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has been tipped to return back to Rangers for yet another loan spell – as per reports.
Last season, the youngster performed exceptionally well under Steven Gerrard and ended up winning the SPFA Young Player of the Year award.
And now, Gerrard is desperate to bring him back to Ibrox for one more season as the Gers boss is looking to challenge Celtic for the Premiership title.
Initially, the loan deal proved really hard since a number of other clubs were interested in signing Ryan Kent for the upcoming season.
Leeds United were reportedly keen to sign him on a season-long loan deal while newly promoted side Aston Villa wanted to bring him on board permanently.
But during the past week, the Gers have once again returned back to the driver’s seat.
Leeds United have seen a bid rejected and it is being claimed that they do not want to come back with another offer. Liverpool want around 10-12 million pounds in order to sell off Ryan Kent and Aston Villa think this is too steep a price and have pulled out of the race.
And also there were reports that Kent had told certain Rangers fans that he might be returning back to Ibrox during the summer.
All this meant that it was only a matter of time before the Teddy Bears once again got their hands on the winger. But it seems that things have taken a turn for the worse during the past 24 hours.
A number of reports are claiming that Ryan Kent is no longer interested in joining Steven Gerrard’s side and he is keeping his options open.
After Villa and Leeds pulled out of the transfer, the winger is hesitating to commit his future to Rangers and wants to wait in hopes that some other club would want to sign him.
To be really honest, apart from Rangers, Leeds United and Aston Villa were the only other two clubs who had really shown an inclination towards signing Ryan Kent and we do not see another club making a move for him during the summer transfer window.
