Rangers have been trying really hard to bring back Ryan Kent from Liverpool for a second spell after the winger impressed everyone at Ibrox last campaign.

The Gers had brought in a number of loan signings last summer but amongst them, only a few had turned into success and Ryan Kent was most certainly the pick of the lot.

The 22-year-old made a number of assists throughout the campaign and was duly rewarded by being awarded the SPFA Young Player of the Year award.

And it was more or less certain that the winger would be returning back to Rangers for a second loan stint with BBC journalist Danny Mills claiming that Gerrard’s side are the favourites to sign Ryan Kent this summer.

“Kent did well at Rangers last season, Gerrard rates him highly and knows him from Liverpool. There is likely to be a bit of hero worship of Gerrard from the player,” he told Football Insider.

“He had a decent time in Scotland last season and he is a top young player. Rangers want to sign him permanently or on loan, and I think they have a very good chance. He would be a fabulous addition to the Rangers squad. He has had a decent time in Scotland already, and it looks like another loan deal.”

Now though it looks like bringing back Ryan Kent is proving to be more tough with each passing week as one club after another are showing interest in the winger.

Leeds United and Aston Villa are reportedly in the mix to bring him on board and now one more report is claiming that Middlesbrough too have joined the hunt.

While Leeds and Rangers want Ryan Kent on a season-long loan deal, Villa and now Middlesbrough want to sign him permanently.

And this is where things have gotten interesting.

Right now, Jurgen Klopp has no need for Ryan Kent and Liverpool have slapped a £12 million price tag on the youngster.

While Villa and Middlesbrough are more than willing to pay the said amount but certainly Rangers cannot afford to pay such a huge transfer price.

And having already said that he is fed up of moving around clubs on loan deals we are pretty sure that Ryan Kent would want to opt for a permanent exit this summer – now that the opportunity has come by.
