Man United beat Fulham with a comfortable 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage on Saturday.

And once again, it was a stellar performance from the Red Devils.

Fulham started the match on the front foot but after withstanding the early pressure it was all Man United from then onwards.

Paul Pogba scored two goals past Rico while Anthony Martial scored the other after a fine solo run in the first half.

But former Man United keeper Peter Schmeichel was not too happy with one aspect of United’s play.

“The problem here is the Manchester United goalkeeper is not supposed to make the number of saves that David De Gea is making in a game like Tottenham,” Schmeichel told beIN SPORTS(as reported).

“I’m not talking him down at all but you don’t want the Manchester United goalkeeper to be the best player in the team for four years or five years or whatever it is.

“You want your strikers, you want your 30 goals from two or three players.

“You want competition from the wingers where they’ve put in 15 goals and 25 assists, that’s what you want.

“They are [meant to be] the player of the year.

“I think David De Gea is showing us what the challenges at Manchester United are at the moment.

“So whoever gets the job needs to tighten up the defence, needs to be more aggressive.

“Ole [Gunnar Solskjaer’s] got nothing to lose so he’s attacking and attacking and it’s going really well for him.

“Manchester United are moving towards back to the identity the club has always had.

“The culture’s been brought back in and we will see David De Gea getting less and less work if the right people are being put in charge.”

Man United will not shift their focus to the Champions League where they host PSG at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
